Description: Life Sciences Industry Principal
This role is within Snowflake’s Global Industry Go-to-Market team. The team comprises industry subject matter experts who fulfill both internal strategic and external customer-facing roles. Their purpose is to provide industry context and establish credibility for Snowflake’s ability to deliver on business use cases and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Strategic Account Development: Working with field sales teams and customer executives to develop and close new business within the Life Sciences sector. This includes crafting account strategies and building strong, trusted relationships with C-level executives.
• Industry Expertise & Vision: Acting as a visionary and innovative industry expert in data, analytics, and AI within the Life Sciences field. Presenting Snowflake’s industry vision to senior leadership.
• Content Creation: Developing customer-facing industry content to support presentations and marketing efforts.
• Ecosystem Building: Cultivating strategic relationships with the Life Sciences ecosystem, including customers, partners, and data providers.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborating with industry architect and marketing teams to develop and implement a cohesive go-to-market strategy for the Life Sciences vertical.
• Internal Enablement: Strengthening the Life Sciences enablement strategy within Snowflake, including leading “industry communities of practice.”
• Product Roadmap Influence: Partnering with industry architect teams to prioritize and deliver industry-specific capabilities in future product roadmaps, aligning Snowflake’s product vision with market needs.
• Marketing Collaboration: Working with marketing teams to raise industry awareness and generate leads through thought leadership presentations at industry conferences and trade shows.
• Sales Enablement: Overseeing account prioritization, solution development, and sales play creation to educate and enable sales, sales engineering, pre-sales, and customer success teams.
• Partner Ecosystem: Collaborating with partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISV partners.
Minimum Currently pursuings:
• 15+ years of experience in the Life Sciences industry (consulting or directly within the industry).
• Leadership experience in driving programs related to Data, Analytics, and AI.
• Experience leading change and influencing corporate strategy, with proven success in C-level business environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Undergraduate degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to travel.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated base salary range is $222,000 – $316,800. The role also includes eligibility for Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan, as well as a competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k); flexible spending & health savings accounts; paid time off, holidays, and parental leave; and more).
