What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Development: Design and establish daily, weekly, and special event programming, including fitness classes, arts, music, games, and outings, ensuring alignment with individual needs and preferences.
• Resident-Centered Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand residents’ life histories, hobbies, and capabilities, using this information to personalize activity plans and care.
• Operational Management: Oversee the departmental budget, order necessary equipment and supplies, and ensure all recreation services comply with company policies, federal, and state regulations.
• Community Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with residents, their families, volunteers, and external community organizations to enhance participation and integrate community resources into programs.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers, providing guidance to achieve the consistent delivery of high-quality recreation services.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a CNA Certificate. This role operates at a director level, leading community life initiatives.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in planning activities for groups of people, coupled with prior experience in leadership roles. A clean driving record is also required.
• Skills: Strong organization and time management abilities, along with great communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, and the community.
