Job Description: Licensing and Franchise Management Intern
This internship will allow you to:
• Identify White Space Opportunities: Analyze revenue potential for ABC shows, especially Grey’s Anatomy and Golden Girls, seeking collaboration partners and conducting market research and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with Studios and Show Creators: Assist with social media requests, approvals, and the routing of marketing and promotional materials.
• Manage and Organize Assets: Organize samples, prepare and update pitch decks, spreadsheets, and materials for internal and cross-divisional partners.
• Handle Licensee Relationships: Provide information, asset distribution, and resolve issues for licensees.
• Lead Product Development: Ensure that products across multiple categories reflect brand expectations, quality, and Disney standards.
• Procure Approvals: Obtain necessary approvals from Legal, Business Affairs, Labor, Marketing, and Studios/Networks for various projects and materials.
• Support Pop-Up Events: Assist with event organization, asset management, legal clearances, and material routing for Disney+, Hulu, PR, and Studios.
• Support Licensing and Marketing Initiatives: Contribute to initiatives that align with franchise priorities.
• Streamline Processes: Document and improve internal processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Proficient in Mac and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote).
• High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter, driven to exceed expectations.
• Hardworking, proactive, eager to learn, and willing to embrace challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and strong relationship-building abilities.
Education Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program.
• OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting.
• OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information:
• Consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• Full availability for the duration of the internship, working 40 hours each week.
• Ability to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in the Burbank, CA area.
• Ability to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in Burbank, CA.
• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour (California).
• Approximate Dates: January 2025 through June 2025.
