Description:

This is an internship opportunity for the 2025 legislative session, located in the Attorney General’s Office in Salt Lake County, UT. The internship is an onsite, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Attending committee meetings and floor time, taking detailed notes and reporting on the proceedings.
• Assisting legislative liaisons with their duties.
• Conducting research on bills and policies.
• Tracking the progress of bills.
• Performing other tasks as assigned.

Currently pursuings:

• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information received during the session.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), including the ability to listen and understand information presented both verbally and in writing.
• Strong concentration skills, allowing you to focus on tasks without distractions.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing, file management, and other office software and terminology.
• Understanding of customer service principles and practices.

This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in the legislative process and work with the Utah Attorney General’s Office.
