Job Description: Legal Trainee

What you can expect:

This role offers a comprehensive legal training experience within the dynamic environment of Canon Production Printing. You will be directly involved in supporting the legal department and specialist departments in tackling legal challenges and drafting contracts.

Your tasks will encompass:

Supporting legal and specialist departments: Processing and resolving legal issues, drafting contracts, particularly in areas like development, production, sales, international purchasing, general contract law, copyright law, (software) licensing law, and data protection law.
Handling legal matters: Addressing diverse legal issues arising from civil and commercial law.
Preparing legal documentation: Creating internal memos, expert opinions, and decision papers.
Contract support: Contributing to drafting and reviewing contracts.
Participation in meetings: Engaging in internal and external meetings.

Beyond routine tasks, you will be actively involved in projects, conducting research, preparing expert opinions, and even independently handling advisory mandates as part of your training.

Qualifications:

Completed first state examination in law with ideal experience or strong interest in contract law, IT, and data protection law.
Strong MS Office skills
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
