Job Description:
This 10-week summer internship program provides hands-on experience working directly with attorneys on a variety of legal matters. Interns will be active members of the legal team, contributing to both complex projects and daily tasks. Responsibilities will include:
• Participating in negotiations: Assisting senior counsel in contract negotiations.
• Collaborating on global strategies: Contributing to the development and implementation of legal strategies across various regions.
• Evaluating critical legal issues: Analyzing legal issues related to contracts, privacy, and corporate matters.
• Intellectual property portfolio development: Assisting in the development and enforcement of Salesforce’s intellectual property portfolio.
The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently. The successful candidate will work alongside seasoned legal professionals, contributing meaningfully to the team’s objectives. Specific Requirements:
• First-year law student: Currently enrolled in a J.D. program at an ABA-accredited law school.
• Organizational and time management skills: Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse legal and business teams.
• Research and learning aptitude: Demonstrated ability to research legal and business issues and quickly grasp new concepts.
• Professionalism: Positive attitude, dependability, punctuality, and discretion are critical.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical familiarity: Strong understanding of technical concepts and cloud computing.
• Technology industry experience: Interest in and/or experience within the high-tech industry.
• Learning agility: Demonstrated passion for learning new things.
• Good sense of humor.
• Community service commitment.
Important Notes:
• Multiple start dates: Three internship groups are offered with different start and end dates.
• Visa sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
