Job Description:
This 10-week legal summer internship provides hands-on experience working directly with attorneys on actual legal work. Interns will be active members of the legal team, contributing to both complex projects and daily tasks.
Responsibilities may include:
• Participating in contract negotiations.
• Collaborating with senior counsel on global legal strategies.
• Evaluating critical legal issues related to contracts, privacy, and corporate matters.
• Assisting in the development and enforcement of the company’s intellectual property portfolios.
Required Qualifications:
• First-year law student pursuing a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Interest in gaining experience in a technology company’s legal department.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse internal legal and business groups.
• Ability to research legal and business issues and learn new concepts quickly.
• Positive and professional attitude, including dependability, timeliness, and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong familiarity with technical concepts and cloud computing.
• Strong interest in and/or experience in the high-technology industry.
• Demonstrated aptitude and passion for learning new things.
• Good sense of humor.
• Commitment to and interest in community service.
• Active involvement in student or external groups supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and/or community service (strongly encouraged).
Internship Dates: Three groups are offered with varying start and end dates:
• Group 1: May 19 – July 25th
• Group 2: June 2 – August 8th
• Group 3: June 16 – August 22nd
Additional Information: This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. The application deadline is January 16th, 2025.
