The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Clorox Company, located in Oakland, CA (hybrid). This Legal Specialist role is vital for providing dedicated support to the Company’s Litigation and Labor & Employment team within the Legal and External Affairs department. The position ensures the efficient management of a wide array of legal support tasks for Clorox business units and functions.

• Team: Litigation and Labor & Employment team within the Legal and External Affairs (LEA) department, under attorney supervision.
• Mission: Support attorneys by managing and coordinating diverse legal tasks, including claims, financial reporting, project management, and administrative functions for the Litigation and Labor & Employment team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Oversee records requests from initiation to production, encompassing custodian identification, data collection, document review, and secure production.
• eDiscovery Facilitation: Manage legal hold obligations and eDiscovery requests by issuing notices, preserving, collecting, reviewing, and exporting data for traditional litigation, internal investigations, and HR inquiries.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with eDiscovery vendors and outside counsel on large-scale discovery initiatives, including project scoping, implementation, engagement documentation, and day-to-day project oversight.
• Case Support: Provide comprehensive case management assistance to attorneys, covering matter initiation, tracking, closure, monitoring, distribution of Service of Process, and legal contingency reporting.
• Analytics & Administration: Lead the development and maintenance of data metrics and analytics for litigation and labor employment programs, alongside performing general research and administrative support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a role supporting legal functions, specifically within litigation and labor & employment.
• Experience: 5+ years as a Paralegal, Specialist, Analyst, Project Management, or equivalent experience working in-house at a publicly traded company or law firm.
• Skills: Strong computer proficiency to navigate multiple applications; expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, e-billing applications, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and hands-on eDiscovery experience (EDRM/information governance fluency).
• Bonus: Paralegal certificate, relevant subject matter certifications (e.g., eDiscovery, project management, Labor & Employment), advanced degree or training, or legal application implementation experience.
