The TL;DR

• Mission: To ensure efficient and accurate legal software support, document creation, and project assistance for the firm’s internal customers and legal teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Software Support: Provide efficient and accurate legal software support to the firm’s internal customers, leveraging departmental knowledge and experience to resolve technical issues and facilitate seamless operations.
• Document Production: Create, revise, and meticulously format a variety of legal documents using specialized computer and legal software, including originating new documents from transcriptions and independently completing complex, multi-step projects from inception to completion utilizing advanced technical skills.
• Project Coordination: Organize and actively assist special project teams with large and/or urgent administrative and client-related tasks, taking responsibility for the clear documentation of specific project instructions to ensure successful execution.
• Transcription Services: Listen to and accurately transcribe micro cassette tapes and audio files, systematically compiling the necessary material according to both written and verbal instructions to support legal and administrative functions.
• Legal Filing Assistance: Assist legal teams directly with the precise preparation and filing of critical U.S. Federal/District and State court documents, ensuring adherence to all relevant procedures and deadlines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires an individual with strong foundational domain knowledge in legal software and comprehensive document production, capable of providing high-level technical support and adeptly managing complex tasks within a legal environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to efficiently create, revise, and format a wide range of legal documents, successfully complete multi-step projects with technical expertise, and provide effective technical assistance. Prior experience assisting with staff training, workload/workflow management, and quality assurance processes would be considered highly relevant.
• Skills: Proficiency in legal software applications, advanced document formatting and revision, high-level technical support, accurate transcription from audio sources, and excellent professional communication skills.
• Bonus: Microsoft certifications and CA e-filing experience.
