What You’ll Actually Do
• Draft and proofread legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence to ensure accuracy.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Manage complex calendars, coordinating meetings, court dates, and travel arrangements.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced legal secretary, preferably specializing in litigation and/or labor and employment law.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary. Demonstrated proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
• Skills: Exceptional legal drafting skills with a keen eye for detail; strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminologies, and court systems; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court officials; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Bonus: Paralegal certification or equivalent.
