This Legal Administrative Assistant position is integral to the firm’s operations, joining the Practice Assistants Response Team to deliver essential legal and administrative support to associates across the litigation practice area, directly contributing to the firm’s commitment to excellence and efficient client service.

• Mission: This person will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to associates, ensuring efficient document management, file organization, scheduling, and billing within the firm’s litigation practice area.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare, edit, and format various legal documents and correspondence.
• Case Organization: Assemble exhibits and hearing binders, prepare document productions, and schedule depositions.
• Information Management: Upload and save documents to e-rooms and the Document Management System (DMS), and maintain pleading and document indices as needed.
• File Maintenance: Organize, retrieve, and prepare case files for closing in accordance with Records Department procedures.
• Professional Communication: Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, vendors, courts, agencies, and firm personnel via telephone, email, and in person.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-level career professional with core domain knowledge in litigation support.
• Experience: 3-5 years of direct litigation assistant experience.
• Skills: Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team, even when located differently from those supported; Capacity to think clearly, react positively, evaluate situations, and act decisively under pressure; Proactive identification of opportunities to assist the team and individuals; Highly organized with strong communication and attention to detail skills; A self-starter.
• Bonus: Preferred experience includes e-filing, time entry and billing software (specifically Elite), and expense reimbursement software (specifically ChromeRiver); Willingness and desire to work with innovative technology platforms, including legal-specific AI tools like Harvey.
