What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Removal Requests: Efficiently and accurately process content removal requests spanning privacy concerns, defamation issues, court orders, and demands from law enforcement and other government agencies.
• Respond to Inquiries: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers, responding to their inquiries regarding YouTube’s legal removals processes.
• Improve Processes: Collaborate within a team environment to identify areas for improvement, enhance operational quality, and ensure the scalability of existing processes.
• Develop Materials: Contribute to the creation of internal and external educational materials and participate in designing new workflows that align with the strategic directions of the business.
• Review Content: Undertake the review of graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content as part of policy enforcement duties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with foundational knowledge in fields such as content moderation, general law, policy development, operational processes, or other directly related areas.
• Experience: Requires practical experience within the domains of content moderation, law, policy, or operational management. This includes applying principles in a working environment.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving and critical thinking skills is essential, alongside a keen attention to detail, particularly when operating within dynamic and ever-changing digital environments.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include prior experience working with internet technologies and understanding their associated policy and regulatory environments, additional experience specifically in content moderation, direct experience in support operations, and demonstrated proficiency with tools such as SQL and spreadsheets.
