The Legal Operations Specialist will handle core paralegal tasks while also contributing to the development and improvement of systems, workflows, and databases that ensure the legal function runs smoothly. This position is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and fostering collaboration between Legal and Compliance and various firm stakeholders, including traders and technologists.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Design, organize, manage, and maintain crucial databases to support the firm’s operations.
• Operational Support: Provide daily support for legal operations and effectively oversee various ad hoc projects as needed.
• Information Organization: Systematically organize and maintain centralized directories, contract templates, and essential support materials.
• Documentation Handling: Review, prepare, draft, blackline, proofread, and scan documentation, complete forms, and facilitate signature collection.
• Efficiency Improvement: Proactively identify process bottlenecks, propose effective solutions, and implement improvements that increase overall efficiency, including exploring advanced AI and legal workflow tools.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a bachelor’s degree and possess a fundamental understanding of legal documentation and corporate governance principles.
• Experience: Bring 3+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience gained either at a law firm or within an in-house legal department.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong process thinking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in database management and project management, and advanced computer skills across various platforms.
• Bonus: Be a licensed notary, or show a willingness to become one as required by the role.
