Job Title: Legal Operations Intern

Purpose of the Role:
As a Legal Operations Intern, you will be responsible for the delivery of legal documents and for assisting with a variety of administrative duties. This role is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a career in law, particularly those with a strong desire to learn about personal injury law. It offers a valuable opportunity for aspiring lawyers to gain real-world experience and knowledge within the legal field.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Be Doing):
• Delivering legal documents to various locations, such as courts, law firms, and government agencies.
• Providing support in client communication by answering phone calls and emails and scheduling appointments.
• Aiding in administrative tasks, such as filing, organizing documents, photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
• Supporting the Operations Director with Special Projects.
• Navigating the DocRio filing cabinet to obtain training materials and firm-wide resources.
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail correspondence.
• Learning Litify to manage the remote correspondence log.
• Covering for the in-office Receptionist as needed.
• Helping with database management and mailing list management.
• Running of documents and Firm errands as needed.

Qualifications (Who You Are):
• Must have a clean driving record with no speeding tickets.
• 3.5 or higher GPA.
• Proven work history.
• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to run legal documents with mileage reimbursement.
• Ability to work between 15-20 hours per week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Paid Position: $12.00 per hour.
