Job Description:
This is an internship opportunity with Touro University’s Office of the General Counsel. Interns will work closely with the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Associate General Counsels, senior administrators, organizational allies, outside counsel, and congressional and USDOE staff. The internship may be eligible for school credit, but Touro makes no guarantees. Travel stipends may be available for students who do not receive compensation or credit.
Responsibilities:
The primary goal is to contribute to the intern’s education by engaging them in the legal department’s practice, which covers areas such as:
• Real estate construction
• Procurement
• Transactions
• Affiliations
• Litigation
• Policy formulation and enforcement
• Compliance
• Corporate law
• Regulatory
• Ad hoc initiatives assigned by the President and other Touro Senior Executives
Intern job assignments are closely monitored to ensure exposure to the breadth of the practice, with efforts made to accommodate the intern’s desired practice areas. The position is work-study eligible, and students should contact their school’s financial aid office for details. Touro makes no guarantees of work-study funding.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must currently be a student at an accredited law school program.
• Applicants must have the ability to work remotely or participate in-person at a relevant Touro location.

Compensation:
• Maximum Salary: USD $16.50/Hr.
• Minimum Salary: USD $0.00/Hr.
• Applicants may be eligible to receive compensation through the Federal Work-Study program.
• Applicants may also be eligible for a commuting reimbursement.
