Job Description
This is for a Legal Intern position within the Legal Department of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) for the Fall 2025 semester.
Position Title: Legal Intern – Fall Semester
Opportunity Type: Paid Internship
Key Focus Areas: The internship offers hands-on experience in various areas of the Legal Department’s work, specifically including:
• Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
• Privacy Law
• AI Governance
Time Commitment & Schedule:
• Hours: Approximately 5–10 hours per week.
• Schedule: Flexible to accommodate the intern’s availability.
Internship Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research and writing on topics primarily related to ADR, privacy law, and AI governance, among others.
• Assist with the preparation of internal legal analyses and memoranda.
• Attend specified committee meetings and accurately prepare meeting notes.
Qualifications:
• Must be a current 1L, 2L, or 3L student enrolled at an accredited law school.
• Demonstrated interest in one or more of the core areas: alternative dispute resolution, privacy law, and/or AI governance.
• Possession of strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Additional Information:
• Location: Flexible, offering the option for remote work or in-person work at the NYC office, based on the intern’s availability and preference.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship, offering $25 per hour.
