This role is for a Legal Intern, primarily focused on providing support for legal research and administrative tasks. The intern will play a crucial part in assisting with tasks that currently occupy the time of full-time employees, thereby helping to streamline departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities and Areas of Assistance:
Legal Assessments: Conduct legal assessments pertaining to both new and existing banking products.
Legal Research: Perform comprehensive legal research on various issues as raised by First Line Units (FLUs).
Vendor Management: Support the vendor management process, which involves over 10 different departments within the bank.
Financial Administration: Manage legal bills and expenses, ensuring proper tracking and processing.
Request Management: Maintain a legal request log and actively monitor the status of ongoing requests.

Specific Daily Responsibilities:
Research and Memos: Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare detailed memos to be presented to senior legal team members.
Log Maintenance: Accurately maintain logs for daily work activities, including invoice management and a comprehensive contract log.
File Organization: Organize and meticulously track files related to important transactions and case documents.
Project Support: Provide assistance with tasks associated with bank-wide projects.
Administrative Duties: Undertake other general departmental administrative work as required to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
Required: Candidates must possess a legal background.
Preferred: Bilingual skills are preferred, which would be an asset in this global banking environment.

Pay Range:
• The pay for this position is USD $18.00 – USD $18.00 /Hr.
• The actual salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant years of experience, specific skillset, educational background, and other pertinent qualifications.
