About Company:

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is offering an internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in Democratic politics and strengthen understanding of the political process.

Job Description:

The DNC is seeking interns for its Fall 2025 Internship Program, running from September 8, 2025, to November 14, 2025. This hybrid program offers interns based in the Washington D.C. area the opportunity for in-person work at the Democratic National Headquarters and DNC events. The internship requires a commitment of 20 hours per week and provides a stipend of $3,000. Housing is not provided.

Position Summary:

The DNC Legal team is seeking an intern to provide support on a variety of legal topics relevant to a national party committee and its political activities. This includes advising on election and campaign finance matters, working on employment and labor issues, negotiating contracts, and providing training and presentations.

Internship Responsibilities/Duties:

• Attend mandatory onboarding/offboarding sessions.
• Draft organized and clear documents, including emails, legal memoranda, training materials, and presentations.
• Conduct research and fact-finding on a variety of topics.
• Work with the Legal team to develop appropriate internal policies and processes.
• Attend internal and external meetings as needed.
• Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship.
• Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Currently enrolled in a JD or LLM program at an ABA certified, U.S.-based institution.
• Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA certified, U.S.-based institution no more than two years before the first day of the internship.
• Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA certified, U.S.-based institution and currently enrolled in a non-legal graduate program
• Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
• Commitment of 20 hours per week during the program
• Physically present in the United States to participate in this internship program
