Entry-Level Legal Assistant | Parker & Maloney, P.A.

This is a full-time, in-person role for an Entry-Level Legal Assistant at Parker & Maloney, P.A., located in Stirling, New Jersey. The firm operates as a small personal injury and workers’ compensation practice, where dedicated in-house attorneys represent clients across both New Jersey and New York. This role is integral to a close-knit team, supporting the firm’s mission by ensuring meticulous attention to detail and proactive assistance for clients as they navigate challenging legal situations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Correspondence Management: Manage all necessary communications between clients, insurance adjusters, and attorneys to ensure information flows efficiently.
• Claims Oversight: Oversee and manage insurance claims for all types of collision insurance, ensuring proper handling and progression.
• File Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Information Gathering: Obtain and thoroughly review police reports, and conduct MVC (Motor Vehicle Commission) searches to gather essential case information.
• Deadline Tracking: Track and manage critical deadlines to ensure timely actions and adherence to case schedules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Suites and Google Workspace is required.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong critical thinking and analytical abilities, possesses excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and communicates effectively both in writing and verbally.
• Bonus: Knowledge of auto and property insurance, good phone and email etiquette, and understanding of personal injury processes.
