This Legal Assistant position is vital for supporting the firm’s attorneys by managing critical administrative and legal tasks. The role ensures the efficient preparation of legal documents, maintenance of court filings, and coordination of schedules, directly contributing to the successful operation of the firm’s legal practice.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Filing: Prepare and file legal pleadings and correspondence with State and Federal courts.
• Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule depositions for legal proceedings.
• Maintenance: Maintain and organize physical and electronic legal files.
• Administration: Manage travel logistics, conduct legal research, and process administrative tasks such as expense reports and time entry.
• Calendar Management: Oversee and update attorney calendars and schedules.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-Senior Level. Minimum 7 years of experience in legal support, specifically with general litigation and labor & employment law.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in a legal assistant role; strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures; proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word (including advanced formatting like generating Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities), and Adobe Acrobat.
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication; exceptional attention to detail; strong organizational abilities; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Bonus: Familiarity with IManage and Court Alert.
