The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a well-established and growing litigation firm, located in Sacramento, California, with the flexibility to work fully remote following an initial onboarding and training period. This role is crucial for delivering comprehensive administrative and litigation support, ensuring attorneys have the necessary resources to manage complex legal processes efficiently and effectively.

• Mission: This person will independently own the provision of essential administrative and litigation support to attorneys, efficiently managing all aspects of case files, calendars, and communications to ensure seamless legal operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Litigation: Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of California and federal civil litigation.
• Manage Documents: Prepare, proofread, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Maintain Records: Ensure accuracy and organization by maintaining electronic and physical case files.
• Coordinate Schedules: Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, and litigation schedules.
• Facilitate Communication: Coordinate communications with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-Senior Level professional with a strong foundational knowledge of both California and federal civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal calendaring requirements.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience serving as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, specifically supporting civil litigation attorneys through all phases of legal proceedings.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong knowledge of California and federal court rules, legal procedures, and calendaring systems; exceptional organizational capabilities, clear and effective communication skills, and proven time-management proficiency; a keen ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail in all tasks; and a self-motivated, dependable approach with the capability to work autonomously and productively in a remote environment.
