This position is vital for managing the firm’s increasing caseload, directly supporting the legal team by handling essential documentation and communication in foreclosure and bankruptcy matters. The role contributes to delivering practical, client-centered legal solutions for a diverse clientele.

• Mission: Support the firm’s foreclosure and bankruptcy practice by efficiently drafting, filing, and tracking legal documents, and managing client and counsel communications.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Draft legal documents: Prepare mortgage foreclosure lawsuits, bankruptcy motions, summons, pleadings, orders, and other related correspondence.
• File legal documents: Submit various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and orders, ensuring proper and timely submission.
• Track case progression: Monitor and maintain records for mortgage foreclosure lawsuits and bankruptcy matters, including document status and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients: Engage with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information via email.
• Communicate with counsel: Liaise with legal counsel regarding case specifics and procedural requirements through email correspondence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Foundational understanding or interest in legal processes, particularly regarding foreclosures and bankruptcy, is beneficial.
• Experience: No specific years required. The firm is willing to train a candidate for a long-term position.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, a demonstrated sense of accountability, and the ability to effectively seek and follow direction.
• Bonus: Prior experience working at a law firm or within the foreclosure field is preferred.
