What You’ll Actually Do
• Court Searches: Perform comprehensive online court searches to identify and report existing judgments and pending suits.
• Legal Research: Conduct detailed online corporate and legal research for business transactions, focusing on UCCs, liens, suits, and judgments.
• Document Coordination: Manage and coordinate document filing projects, including corporate/LLC formations and annual reports, while also coordinating external vendors for searching, filing, and document retrieval.
• Client & Agency Interaction: Engage extensively with clients, co-workers, online State filing systems, and government agencies to ensure smooth processes.
• Reporting & Invoicing: Generate invoices accurately using QuickBooks and create professional reports in MS Word and Excel to provide clients with timely and thorough results.
• Office Administration: Handle general office duties, including telephone communications, scanning documents, typing, and maintaining databases.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An early-career professional with a high school diploma required, bringing foundational practical experience from a law firm or related legal environment.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a law firm or a related legal field, specifically adept at reading court dockets and analyzing case statuses for final disposition. Demonstrated typing proficiency of at least 55 WPM with high accuracy is required.
• Skills: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, exceptional organizational skills for multi-tasking, proactive critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong verbal and written communication.
• Bonus: Completion of 2 years of college is preferred.
