The Tone:
This is a Legal Assistant position at Iannarino Fullen Group, operating under a hybrid work model, primarily virtual with four mandatory in-person days per month. The Iannarino Fullen Group supports crucial legal processes related to public assistance and unemployment insurance. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of legal appeals and hearings, directly supporting Administrative Law Judges and departmental operations.

• Mission: Owns the detailed administrative and research support for legal appeals, ensuring compliance and efficiency for Administrative Law Judges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Verify Appeals: Verify the completeness of incoming appeals and ensure they meet federal and state noticing deadlines.
• Prepare Hearings: Retrieve accurate exhibits for hearings and create comprehensive hearing packets for Administrative Law Judges.
• Manage Documentation: Enter case documentation into appropriate repositories and upload legal decisions and dispositions for departmental action.
• Support Judges: Assist Administrative Law Judges with case research, interpreting necessary procedures for analysis, and scheduling hearings.
• Customer Interaction: Assist customers with elevated docket calls and determine the timeliness of requests for hearings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Any legal education experience and foundational knowledge of Arizona Public Assistance and Unemployment Insurance law, practices, and procedures.
• Experience: Proficient in the organization and maintenance of confidential paper and electronic files, and experienced in applying effective customer service techniques and office security procedures.
• Skills: Ability to identify complex legal issues with appeals in a timely manner, analyze jurisdiction and issues by reviewing images and paper documents, and interpret necessary procedures for research and analysis of case files.
