Legal Assistant | LHH

• Mission: To provide critical administrative and legal support, ensuring efficient management of cases and smooth operation of the firm’s diverse legal practices.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Administration: Manage files for active cases, diligently monitor deadlines, and ensure proper e-Filing procedures are followed.
• Legal Document Production: Transcribe dictation, draft, proofread, and prepare various legal documents including letters, pleadings, answers, and motions for state and federal court.
• Attorney Support & Scheduling: Assist with comprehensive trial preparation, schedule depositions, and manage attorney calendars for all critical trial and court dates.
• Administrative & Financial Duties: Handle general office communications, answer phones, sort mail, communicate with courthouses, track attorney billable time and expenses, and assist with billing and invoices.
• Specialized Legal Drafting: Assist with drafting and proofreading various real estate documents and help administer the formation of legal entities such as LLCs, corporations, and partnerships.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-level professional with prior experience working in a law firm setting.
• Experience: Prior experience in a law firm setting is required; 3+ years of experience is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in legal document preparation and filing, e-Filing, legal calendar management, attorney billing and expense tracking, and typing at least 50+ WPM.
• Professional Qualities: Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and a trustworthy and ethical approach to work.
