Job Description: Legal and Business Intern
Zivian is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Legal and Business Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience at the intersection of law and business within a health tech company. The intern will encounter diverse legal challenges in a high-growth environment, working closely with the team.
Responsibilities include:
• Regulatory Research: Conducting in-depth research on regulatory issues affecting the health tech industry, including data privacy laws, healthcare regulations, and compliance requirements. This involves operationalizing this research by working with legal and business teams to interpret and implement findings.
• Transactional Work: Gaining exposure to transactional work such as contract review, assistance with negotiations, and preparation of legal documents.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with product, operations, and compliance teams to ensure legal compliance across all business operations.
• Legal Operations Support: Supporting the legal department with general operational tasks, including tracking legal requests and managing legal workflows. This also includes preparing and organizing legal materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ad Hoc Support: Assisting with ad hoc legal queries and supporting legal operations and corporate governance matters.
Qualifications:
• Strong interest in health tech, business law, and regulatory matters.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Prior experience in a legal or business-related role is a plus but not required.
The internship offers flexibility in work location within the US.
