Legal Analyst | TIAA

This role is crucial for monitoring, evaluating, and managing ongoing legal tasks, primarily in connection with the enterprise’s real estate litigation docket, and communicating key findings to relevant stakeholders.

What You’ll Actually Do
Litigation Management: Serve as a subject matter expert for day-to-day litigation and enforcement activities, supporting the management of team workload across all levels of cases, including highly complex disputes.
Document Review: Revise and review standard legal documents under attorney supervision to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Legal Research & Reporting: Perform research, assist with investigations, resolve inquiries, and oversee the preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports.
E-Discovery Oversight: Supervise e-discovery engagements and provide coaching for litigation support, such as coordinating document production and discovery.
Legal Advisory: Make litigation-related recommendations to attorneys and work independently with outside and opposing counsel.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career Level 7IC. Subject matter expertise in litigation and enforcement-related activities, with a strong understanding of applicable practice areas and federal/state regulatory issues. University Degree preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of litigation experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and a comprehensive understanding of case management, litigation proceedings, investigations, and legal documents (e.g., court pleadings, settlement agreements, discovery requests).
• Bonus: Paralegal Certification, Bachelor’s Degree, or JD.
