This Legal Administrative Assistant position is crucial in providing essential secretarial and administrative support for one of the firm’s busy business litigation practice groups, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the firm’s distinguished service to its clients and standing in the legal community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Correspondence Management: Handle all legal correspondence directed to clients, witnesses, and court officials.
• Scheduling & Logistics: Schedule, calendar, and confirm appointments, and set up conference rooms as needed.
• Office Communications: Draft and type various office letters, memos, and other internal communications.
• Document Processing: Mail, scan, and electronically file documents according to established procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Early Career. Requires a thorough understanding of legal administration, encompassing knowledge and skills in relevant legal filings, e-filings, briefs, maintaining comprehensive legal files, calendaring deadlines, and adhering to legal rules and procedures.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and document management systems is required, along with practical experience in e-filing processes.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Possess the ability to accurately draft documents, ensuring correct formatting, punctuation, and grammar. Exhibit strong organizational capabilities and consistent “follow up” skills for tasks and projects.
