Job Description: Legal Administration Intern

This is a full-time, 10-week internship program available at various court locations across Vermont (Bennington, Burlington, Chelsea, St. Albans, Rutland, Woodstock). The internship focuses on providing specialized customer support, clerical work, and data entry within one or more docket areas of the court’s jurisdiction.

Responsibilities:

• Providing specialized customer support.
• Performing clerical and data entry tasks.
• Maintaining accurate records and providing accurate information.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills.
• Interacting with customers in a professional and positive manner.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong administrative and clerical skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• College students who have completed 30+ credits toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree (specifically those finishing their second year).

Additional Information:

• The internship is a temporary position with no benefits.
• The hourly salary is $19.20.
• Housing is not provided; applicants must reside in Vermont or have secured housing for the 10-week period.
• The Vermont Judiciary will work with candidates to find a court location near their home.
