Job Title: Leadership Mentor Internship – Voice Up (A Global Leadership Development Role for Purpose-Driven Mentors and Future Leaders)
Program Nature: This is a 100% remote program designed as a specialized development initiative for emerging leaders.
Position Overview/Purpose: Voice Up Publishing seeks passionate Leadership Mentor Interns with a deep commitment to developing others and guiding individuals toward discovering their leadership potential and unique purpose. The role aims to contribute to transforming lives, inspiring purpose discovery, and creating positive change in communities globally.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Inclusive Leadership Mentoring: Providing one-on-one and group mentoring to emerging leaders from all backgrounds, including immigrants, homeless individuals, justice-involved persons, communities of color, those in recovery, and working professionals.
• Purpose Discovery Facilitation: Guiding mentees from diverse circumstances through processes of discovering their unique calling and leadership potential.
• Culturally Responsive Programming: Creating leadership development programs that honor different cultural backgrounds, life experiences, and starting points.
• Community Building: Fostering networks of purpose-driven leaders that celebrate diversity and support each other’s growth, regardless of background.
• Barrier-Breaking Leadership: Helping emerging leaders overcome systemic barriers and leverage their unique experiences as sources of authentic leadership strength.

Application Requirements:
Applicants must submit:
1. Leadership portfolio: Demonstrating experience in developing, mentoring, or inspiring others toward growth and purpose discovery.
2. Mentorship vision statement: Explaining your approach to developing others and guiding leadership potential.
3. Chosen specialization area and leadership development experience.
4. Participation option preference: Indicating either Option 1 (Standard Internship) or Option 2 (Investment Fellowship).
Participation Options:
Option 1 – Standard Internship Tracks:
• Academic Credit: Requires 15-20 hours per week, with university partnership for leadership studies or organizational development credit.
• Volunteer: Requires 10-15 hours per week, ideal for emerging leaders building mentoring and development experience.
• Stipend: A potential stipend of $20-30 per hour for exceptional contributors demonstrating mentoring excellence.
Option 2 – Investment & Equity Fellowship Option (Leadership Development Innovation Fellowship):
• Equity Ownership: This option involves transforming crowdfunding (from $5 to $25 a month) to connect people to purpose, joining a global movement spanning 1,700 cities and 80 countries. Fellows join the ground floor of a global grassroots movement.
• Performance-Based Equity: Equity conversion is tied to performance evaluation:
• Full (90-100% performance) = 100% equity converts.
• Strong (75-89% performance) = 75% equity converts.
• Moderate (60-74% performance) = 50% equity converts.
• Evaluation Criteria: Performance is evaluated based on leadership development excellence, mentoring impact, purpose discovery facilitation, community building, and consistent demonstration of Voice Up’s principles of collaboration, humility, precision, patience, and empathy, and implementing these in a way that creates a safe space for people to discover and collaborate.
• Duration: The fellowship lasts 4-12 months, with flexibility to accommodate academic and leadership development needs.
