The Tone:
This is a full-time, early career leadership development program at Mustang Cat, located within Southeast Texas. Mustang Cat, recognized as one of America’s Greatest Midsize Workplaces of 2025, proudly serves the construction, oil & gas, power generation, marine, and manufacturing industries as an authorized Caterpillar dealer. This Leadership Foundations Program is vital for preparing high-potential individuals to become future leaders, equipping them with foundational skills for a successful career. Participants will gain comprehensive operational understanding and leadership capabilities through an immersive program.

• Mission: To prepare future leaders within Mustang Cat by providing immersive, hands-on experience, professional coaching, operational exposure, and rotational assignments across multiple business divisions like Power Systems, Service, Rental Services, and Sales Administration.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Immersion: Gain a thorough understanding of Mustang Cat’s business, product lines, and customer base through daily responsibilities and hands-on experience in assigned operational areas.
• Rotational Development: Engage in rotational assignments across various departments and business units, building broad operational knowledge and exposure to areas including Power Systems, Service, Rental Services, SITECH, Parts, and Sales Administration.
• Leadership Cultivation: Develop essential leadership competencies and business acumen through structured coursework, personalized one-on-one coaching, and mentorship from experienced Mustang Cat leaders.
• Strategic Contribution: Support key projects and process improvement initiatives across the organization, collaborating with teams and delivering professional presentations on development progress and project outcomes.
• Relationship Building & Excellence: Build strong relationships with employees, leadership teams, and customers, while consistently maintaining a strong focus on safety, teamwork, customer experience, and operational excellence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required; strong desire to develop into a future leadership role within a customer-focused environment.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required, as this 18–24 month program is designed for leadership development and management training.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and organizational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn technical aspects of the business.
• Bonus: Interest in the Heavy Equipment, Construction Equipment, Industrial Power, or Equipment Rental industries; previous leadership, internship, project management, or team-based experience; experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or technical environments; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
