The Tone:

This role is crucial for developing strong associates who understand customer needs and can deliver compelling financial strategies and solutions through a personalized, holistic client review.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in an intensive 24-month rotational training across Busey’s highest revenue-producing Commercial Banking and Wealth Management business lines.
• Develop: Cultivate an understanding of credit products, lending practices, and financial analysis by working on live commercial loan requests alongside commercial lenders.
• Earn: Achieve the Wealth Management Specialist (WMS) designation and gain a deep understanding of the financial planning process, including data gathering, analysis, and client presentations.
• Rotate: Gain exposure to various departments, including relationship and treasury management, service support, compliance, portfolio management, and back-office functions like operations, IT, risk, and finance.
• Perform: Execute Credit Analyst and Financial Planning functions through formal rotations and day-to-day responsibilities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Financial Planning & Services or other business-related graduate. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: Participation in community or school-based organizations or equivalent work experience; basic/intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and competitive with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy; strong organization and time management skills; ability to grow a balanced network and build relationships across the organization.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred; flexibility to travel within Busey’s markets (Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Florida); an interest in working in the Commercial Lending and Wealth Management industries.
