What You’ll Actually Do
• Application Development: Architect, design, develop, and maintain high-performing, scalable web applications across both frontend (Vue.js) and backend (Node.js) layers.
• API & Data Management: Build, optimize, and enhance robust RESTful APIs and microservices, alongside designing and optimizing data schemas for relational and NoSQL databases.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, participate in code reviews, mentor developers, and champion modern development practices, CI/CD, and security guidelines.
• Quality Assurance & Problem Solving: Lead automated testing efforts using Playwright and other frameworks, while troubleshooting and resolving complex application performance issues and defects.
• Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with systems architects, technical managers, analysts, and project stakeholders to define functional requirements and translate them into reliable software solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years or a Master’s Degree with 5+ years of professional experience in software development, demonstrating the ability to provide technical leadership for application development initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience: Proven expertise in building backend applications and microservices using Node.js, strong hands-on proficiency in modern frontend single-page applications with Vue.js, and extensive experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful web services.
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL), experience with automated test execution and frameworks including Playwright, deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, asynchronous programming patterns, modern web application architecture, and hands-on proficiency with Git version control systems.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and serverless architectures, hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD automation pipelines, familiarity with Java and NoSQL environments (e.g., MongoDB), and knowledge of web application security best practices, OAuth/JWT authentication, and enterprise access governance.
