Principal / Lead Deployment Architect – AI | Celonis

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Celonis. Celonis is a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining, developing a Process Intelligence Platform powered by AI, specifically its Process Intelligence Graph. This role is crucial for delivering measurable business-critical outcomes to customers by shaping how Celonis solutions are designed, architected, and delivered, acting as the technical authority for strategic accounts and defining how AI augments these processes.

• Team: Celonis Services within the Celonis Customer Organization, collaborating closely with Deployment Engineers.
• Mission: Define and implement delivery standards, end-to-end solution strategies, and effective AI-augmented workflows at scale for Celonis customers.
• Tech Stack: Celonis platform, Process Intelligence Graph, data modeling, PQL, automation and orchestration engine, AI modules, Python, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Solution Architecture & Design: Design end-to-end Celonis solution architectures for complex enterprise deployments, integrating with customer systems and data strategies across multiple areas.
• AI Orchestration & Delivery Innovation: Define and design how AI deployment agents (Apollo) are used across complex, multi-workstream engagements, including agent workflows and validation checkpoints.
• Customer Strategy & Advisory: Serve as the senior technical advisor to strategic customers, building trusted relationships and translating business challenges into Celonis platform strategies.
• Successful Implementation: Lead the implementation of the most complex and early-stage use cases for customers, ensuring quality, scalability, and production readiness.
• Practice Development: Set architectural and quality standards, contribute to hiring, and share knowledge to elevate the Deployment job family and influence the platform roadmap.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. This is a senior or lead technical role.
• Experience: 8+ years in technical consulting, solution architecture, or delivery leadership within enterprise software, consulting firms, or system integrators. At least 3 years in a senior or lead technical role with multi-stakeholder responsibility in large-scale projects at tier-1 organizations, such as digital twin implementations, global AI transformations, or near-real-time data pipelines.
• Skills:
• Architecture skills: Proven ability to design complex, multi-component solutions spanning data integration, process intelligence, automation, and AI, grounded in customer process outcomes.
• AI & agent orchestration: Demonstrated ability to design AI-augmented delivery workflows leveraging frontier tooling, and experience with context engineering or multi-agent system design.
• Customer executive presence: Track record of building trusted advisor relationships with VP and C-level stakeholders, presenting transformation strategies, and defending architectural decisions.
• Platform mastery: Expert-level knowledge of the Celonis platform, including its core components, with a working knowledge of Python to push platform boundaries.
• Domain expertise: Deep knowledge in at least one major process domain (e.g., Supply Chain, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay) or industry vertical, translating this into scalable solution patterns.
• Bonus: Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
