About Company:

Job Description:

This is an academic internship opportunity for law students currently enrolled in an accredited law school and undergraduate students considering law school.

Responsibilities and Details:

Title: Law Student Academic Intern
Focus: Working directly with experienced trial attorneys.
Duties:
• First-Chair Trial Experience (with eligible bar card status)
• Assistance with formal plea procedures
• Trial preparation
• Research and writing
• Second-chair assistance with jury selection and jury trials.
• Observing and assisting with court dockets, hearings, and trials.
• Completing additional assignments, projects, or observations.
Location: In-person (no remote internships).
Duration: 10-week internship program
Compensation: Unpaid.
Work Hours: Maximum of 40 hours per week during the summer.
Timeline:
• Orientation: Friday, June 6, 2025 (In person, Location and Time TBD).
• Start Date: Monday, June 9, 2025 (In person).
• End Date: Friday, August 15, 2025 (week 10).
Divisions: Assignments based on needs, primarily in:
• Misdemeanor and Felony Division
• Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Sex Crimes, and Crimes Against Children Division
• Specialty divisions (assignments will be given once needs are met in other divisions).

• Background check upon selection.
• If bar card eligible, required to obtain it once assigned to a supervising attorney.
