Job Description:
Nestlé R&D Center in Solon, OH, is seeking a Laboratory Intern to join their team, starting in August 2025 for a 6-month to a year part-time role (16-20 hours per week). The intern will support research and development (R&D) projects, focusing on the physical and chemical analyses of frozen and chilled foods, maintaining laboratory hygiene, and ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct R&D projects related to physical and chemical analysis and experimentation.
• Ensure compliance with GLP standards.
• Perform analytical testing (e.g., dough rheology, sauce emulsification, viscosity, texture profile analysis) according to validated procedures and within specified timelines.
• Assist in the operation and troubleshooting of Gas Chromatography-MS/O equipment.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from sample receipt through to sample preparation and result reporting.
• Participate in daily laboratory safety and housekeeping activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a STEM-related field.
• Experience in analytical testing is preferred.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
• A result-oriented, flexible, and open-minded attitude.
• A strong scientific curiosity and a willingness to receive coaching.
