The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Squire Patton Boggs, with a particular preference for candidates in the Miami or Cincinnati offices. This role is crucial for managing various aspects of litigation, directly contributing to the firm’s ability to advocate on behalf of clients and achieve successful legal outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drafting: Draft pleadings and motions for various litigation matters.
• Research & Advocacy: Conduct legal research and argue hearings to support client cases.
• Discovery Management: Manage all aspects of discovery, including requests and responses.
• Depositions: Take and defend depositions as part of the litigation process.
• Trial Support: Assist with all preparations for trial and support during trial proceedings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with a strong academic record, along with 2-6 years of legal experience as a junior to mid-level associate.
• Experience: 2-6 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or a judicial clerkship. Admission to the Florida Bar is required. More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing commercial lawsuits from start to finish.
• Skills: Demonstrated significant and exceptional writing experience and skills, proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, and coordinating with local counsel. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, excellent organizational skills, self-starter mentality, the ability to prioritize workload, good judgment, and the capacity to work well under pressure are essential.
• Bonus: Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation is a plus. Courtroom and deposition experience is preferred. More junior candidates should possess an exceptional academic record.
