Junior Paralegal | The Epstein Group

The Tone:
This is a starting role at The Epstein Group. This position is crucial because a missed deadline or an unlogged call has real consequences for a real family navigating the immigration process. The company is seeking an individual who deeply understands the importance of care and precision in every task to support clients effectively.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Mission: Own the diligent collection and tracking of client documents and information to ensure timely and accurate immigration application submissions for families.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Document Collection: Diligently collect and chase required client documents until their successful arrival, going beyond a single request.
• Client Communication: Engage with clients across phone, WhatsApp, SMS, and email, proficiently using both Portuguese and English.
• Form Preparation: Pre-fill USCIS and Department of State forms for attorney review, meticulously identifying and flagging every field needing client input.
• Information Logging: Accurately log every client call, message, and received document within company systems.
• Deadline Management & Assembly: Proactively track and raise deadlines early, and assemble complete filing packages under supervision for weekly case review.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Requires a foundational understanding of the critical importance of care and precision in handling sensitive information.
• Experience: No prior legal or administrative experience is strictly required, but comfort and persistence in communicating by phone to obtain documents is essential.
• Skills: Fluent in both written and spoken Portuguese and English; demonstrated real attention to detail; highly organized and self-directed; capable of exercising discretion with sensitive personal and financial information.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to legal or administrative work, Spanish language proficiency, a paralegal certificate, or any previous immigration experience.
