As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst/FP&A to join their dynamic Finance and Accounting team.

Description:

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to develop their financial skills and contribute to the company’s financial strategy and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and trends.
• Support the development of financial models and forecasts to assist in strategic planning.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather data and insights for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Reporting:
• Prepare and distribute financial reports to internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and the advisory boards.
• Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.

Financial Planning:
• Support the Accounting & Finance team in various financial planning activities, including scenario analysis and strategic planning.
• Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis projects as required.
• Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities and financial risks.

Compliance and Controls:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Currently pursuings:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field (internships and co-op experience included).
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• A natural curiosity to learn new things.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

• Experience with construction ERP systems.
• Knowledge of the real estate industry.
