What You’ll Actually Do
• Material Handling: Carry materials weighing up to 60 lbs as required for testing activities.
• Site Preparation: Prepare testing sites using tools such as a shovel and wheelbarrow to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Testing Assistance: Assist experienced field representatives with sampling materials and conducting tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, and similar construction elements.
• Documentation: Take detailed notes on the construction process and maintain accurate diary records of activities and observations.
• Plan Interpretation: Perform basic plan reading, which includes identifying station locations, curve information, feature locations, and elevations.

• Background: Early Career. A high school diploma is required for this position.
• Experience: No specific prior experience is required beyond the educational qualification.
• Skills: Physical capability to carry materials up to 60 lbs; ability to use basic field tools such as a shovel and wheelbarrow; attention to detail for note-taking and record maintenance; basic comprehension of construction plans.
