What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Draft and prepare substantive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses across various litigation matters.
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research, meticulously analyzing complex statutory frameworks and evolving case law developments, with a primary focus on employment law.
• Litigation Support: Actively assist with key phases of litigation, encompassing the preparation for depositions, conducting witness interviews, and participating in mediation proceedings.
• Strategic Collaboration: Engage directly with partners to develop and refine effective defense strategies for a range of employment matters, including single-plaintiff cases and more complex class/collective actions.
• Diverse Case Management: Provide support for the firm’s general business and contract litigation needs, contributing to a diverse and challenging caseload as required.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and possess active admission in good standing with the State Bar of California, demonstrating foundational legal qualification.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of dedicated employment law experience is required, with valuable contributions welcomed from attorneys who have practiced on either the Plaintiff or Defense side.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical capabilities, demonstrated proficiency in legal research, and highly persuasive writing skills. Candidates must also exhibit the ability to manage case deadlines independently while effectively contributing within a collaborative team structure.
