Position Summary

The Junior Data Analyst plays a crucial role within the Business Intelligence department, providing essential support for maintaining and enhancing KPI reports and Power BI dashboards. This position is central to tracking both operational and financial performance across the organization. The primary focus of this role involves meticulous data preparation, cleaning, validation, and basic visualization, all aimed at ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable reports. The Junior Data Analyst operates in a highly collaborative environment, working closely with Business Intelligence team members and finance leadership to fulfill routine analytical and reporting requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

KPI Visualization and Analysis

• Support the tracking and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for both Finance and Business Intelligence teams.
• Perform crucial tasks in extracting, cleaning, and preparing datasets to ensure readiness for accurate reporting.
• Proactively maintain and update existing Power BI dashboards based on established guidelines and directives.
• Actively contribute to the enhancement of dashboard visuals and layout, with a focus on improving clarity and overall usability for end-users.

Analytical Support

• Execute routine data analysis, conduct trend reviews, and provide foundational support for basic forecasting initiatives.
• Develop and apply foundational analytical techniques, specifically those relevant to healthcare and financial reporting domains.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting

• Collaborate effectively with Business Intelligence team members to support ongoing and ad-hoc reporting needs.
• Prepare meticulous draft reports and visualizations, ensuring they are ready for thorough review by senior analysts and finance leadership.

Data Integrity & Governance

• Conduct thorough data quality checks to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all reported data.
• Adhere strictly to established data governance and compliance standards, with particular attention to sensitive healthcare data requirements.

Continuous Improvement

• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting tasks and effectively communicate recommendations to senior analysts for implementation.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, continuously building and enhancing technical skills in Power BI, data analysis, and specialized healthcare data concepts.
