Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager | Trueline

The Tone:
This is a full-time role with Trueline’s client, a growing commercial construction contractor specializing in exterior building systems throughout New England, located in the Greater Boston / Southern New Hampshire area. The client focuses on projects involving exterior envelope, siding, roofing, waterproofing, and glazing. This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional to gain hands-on exposure to critical project functions, working alongside experienced industry leaders. The position is essential for supporting project managers and contributing to the efficient execution of commercial construction projects, offering a clear pathway to future Project Management responsibilities and long-term career growth within a developing organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate: Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of commercial construction projects.
• Document: Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project records, while maintaining organized and accurate project documentation.
• Track: Assist with procurement, purchasing, and material tracking, and monitor project schedules, deliveries, and key milestones.
• Communicate: Coordinate communication between field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Learn: Participate in periodic site visits for field experience and learn estimating, budgeting, and project management processes from senior team members.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career construction professional with an aptitude to learn and interpret construction drawings and demonstrate basic construction math skills.
• Experience: Proven ability to learn quickly and take ownership of assigned responsibilities, coupled with a self-motivated, dependable, and accountable work style. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field; internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in construction or project coordination; exposure to commercial construction projects; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software; background in exterior envelope, siding, roofing, waterproofing, glazing, or related construction trades; or military experience with demonstrated leadership, organization, and accountability.
