Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer | Axiom
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Axiom, located in remote or hybrid environments. This role supports high-volume client projects, with a strong and growing focus on supply chain and manufacturing-related contracting work, tackling complex legal matters and advancing clients’ commercial contracting initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Agreement Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, distribution agreements, supply and procurement agreements, and services agreements.
• Supply Chain Support: Support supply chain and manufacturing-focused contracts, encompassing vendor, supplier, and operations-related agreements for clients.
• Legal Guidance: Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance on contract terms, risk allocation, and negotiation strategy to clients.
• Project Management: Assist clients with large commercial contracting initiatives, including contract standardization and remediation projects.
• CLM Operations: Support contract lifecycle management (CLM) efforts, including implementation, optimization, and ongoing contract operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Doctorate Degree (JD or equivalent) with active bar membership in good standing. Career level: Junior to mid-level commercial generalist.
• Experience: 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in-house or in a commercial-focused practice, with demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating core commercial contracts.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail. Comfort operating as a generalist across multiple contract types and industries.
• Bonus: Supply chain and/or manufacturing experience, including exposure to procurement, vendor, supplier, or operations-driven contracts (SME status not required). Experience with CLM system implementation or optimization. Exposure to international contracts or Japanese-facing clients, or experience supporting cross-functional and multinational teams.
