Analyst (M&A / Strategy) | Taking Over
The Tone:
This is a junior, early career position at Taking Over, located in the CEE region. Tack Room Capital is a boutique advisory firm that partners with ambitious technology and founder-led businesses across the CEE region, providing expertise in M&A, corporate and business strategy, and fundraising. This role is crucial as the work directly shapes the future of clients, contributing to real transactions and strategic projects from day one.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Materials: Prepare transaction materials such as teasers, information memoranda, and investor decks for leading investors and CEOs.
• Financial Analysis: Build financial models and apply valuation methods including DCF, market, and transaction-based approaches.
• Strategic Research: Conduct deep, structured market and competitive research to inform key strategic decisions.
• Project Support: Support strategic and fundraising projects, helping companies prepare for growth rounds and long-term strategy.
• Deal Process Management: Assist with due diligence, investor outreach, and negotiation support to drive the deal process.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor Degree or equivalent (final-year student) in finance, economics, or a technical discipline. Career level is Entry-Level.
• Experience: At least one internship completed in M&A, consulting (e.g., Big Four), investment banking, or VC/PE.
• Skills: Master Excel and PowerPoint, strong analytical abilities for pattern recognition and understanding key valuation concepts, proactive and accountable approach, keen attention to detail, and full proficiency in English and Czech/Slovak (spoken and written).
