What You’ll Actually Do
Fiduciary Responsibility: Serve as a fiduciary for resident funds, diligently ensuring absolute compliance with all pertinent regulations under the State of Maryland.
Financial Transactions: Accurately write checks, process withdrawals, and execute deposits for individual resident accounts.
Resident Engagement: Meet with residents and their families daily to facilitate account setup, provide comprehensive financial information, and process various transactions with empathy and clarity.
Record Maintenance: Maintain meticulous records, expertly organize complex paperwork packages, and ensure all required signatures are obtained promptly and correctly within a paper-based system.
Reporting and Audits: Provide quarterly statements to residents, securing necessary acknowledgements and signatures, and assist with the annual Unclaimed Property Report, responding to state audits or official surveys as required.

The Must-Haves
Background: An Associate degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience, particularly in a role requiring strict regulatory compliance and direct customer interaction.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills (especially for paper-based systems), excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to work effectively under strict regulatory oversight while maintaining a patient, approachable, and professional demeanor.
