What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Servicing Accounting: Oversee daily activities related to payment research, corrections, and cash application for mortgage servicing.
• Process Transactions: Handle returned ACH transactions, checks, borrower refunds, and distribute escrow funds.
• Monitor Payments: Initiate and track borrower wire transactions, ensuring follow-up on NSF or rejected payments.
• Conduct Reconciliations: Perform bank and cash reconciliations to accurately identify and resolve financial discrepancies promptly.
• Support Financial Operations: Assist with investor remittance accounting, respond to audit requests, and maintain precise financial records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level accounting professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, specifically with account reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
