About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team, specifically supporting our Marketforce division. This entry-level position is perfectly suited for individuals eager to develop and hone their accounting skills within a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The Junior Accountant will play a crucial role in assisting with daily financial transactions, comprehensive reconciliation processes, and various reporting activities. A primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of all financial data. The role involves close collaboration with various agencies and payment processors to verify payment postings, meticulously resolve any discrepancies, and support the overall financial operations of the division. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some tertiary qualification in finance, such as an associate’s degree, certificate, or relevant coursework in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and the ability to work effectively independently.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and PDF applications.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including a strong understanding of formulas and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with payment reconciliations involving payment processors, banks, and various systems of record.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated trustworthiness and discretion in handling sensitive financial data.
  • Authorization to work in the country where the role is based.
  • Willingness to undergo a Level II background and security investigation, which may include fingerprinting (if applicable).
  • Willingness to participate in drug screening (excluding Canada).

Responsibilities

  • Pulling daily and monthly reports for comprehensive reconciliation across multiple agencies.
  • Reconciling daily and monthly payment trackers to ensure the accurate posting of all payments.
  • Proactively identifying and efficiently resolving payment discrepancies during the reconciliation processes.
  • Processing daily payment returns efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data at all times.
  • Assisting with data entry and thorough documentation related to financial transactions.
  • Supporting the finance team in preparing various reports and financial summaries.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external agencies to resolve payment issues promptly.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Continuously striving to improve reconciliation processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
