Junior Accountant (12 Month Temporary Assignment) | Sony

The Tone:
This is a temporary assignment of approximately 12 months for a Junior Accountant, located in New York City. Sony Corporation of America serves as the U.S. headquarters for Sony Group Corporation, a global entertainment and technology company delivering diverse experiences through its electronics, gaming, music, and film businesses. This role is crucial for the Corporate Accounting team, contributing to essential general ledger activities and month-end closing processes within a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoicing: Prepare all intercompany invoices accurately and on time.
• Entries: Record monthly journal entries to maintain financial accuracy.
• Monitoring: Conduct daily monitoring of the AP clearing accounts.
• Reconciliations: Prepare precise bank reconciliations.
• Close Support: Assist with the monthly accounting close process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Possesses 1-2 years of accounting experience, including proficiency in SAP Accounting software.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical abilities, and communication skills, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
