U.S. Financial Specialist | ENVICOOL

The Tone:
This role is located in Houston, Texas. Envicool provides energy-efficient cooling and thermal management solutions for data centers, energy storage systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. Our U.S. team supports customers with their cooling needs. This position is crucial for ensuring the accurate daily accounting and tax compliance of the U.S. subsidiary, contributing directly to the financial health and operational efficiency of the local team.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This role is responsible for supporting the U.S. subsidiary’s daily accounting operations and ensuring tax compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Handle day-to-day accounting for the U.S. subsidiary, covering revenue, costs, and expenses.
• Financial Support: Support accounts receivable and accounts payable, manage customer collections and vendor payments, and reconcile bank transactions.
• Reporting & Records: Assist with month-end closing and financial statement preparation, while maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
• Tax Compliance: Work with the local U.S. CPA firm on tax filings, communications, tax notices, and document submissions to U.S. tax authorities.
• Operational Support: Provide financial assistance for the U.S. subsidiary’s general daily operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This is an entry-level position open to recent graduates, requiring basic accounting knowledge and familiarity with bookkeeping and financial statements.
• Experience: A willingness to learn U.S. accounting and tax practices.
• Skills: Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, strong attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, and good learning skills.
• Bonus: U.S. accounting internship experience or progress toward the U.S. CPA qualification.
